The short version

Cheeta does not require an account, does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and does not send your audiobook library or listening history to Plane and Ladybird.

Data stored on your device

Cheeta stores audiobook references and metadata, playback position, listening history and statistics, bookmarks and notes, custom artwork, Studio drafts, recordings, and generated M4B files locally on your device. This information is used only to provide app features.

Microphone, files, and photos

Cheeta accesses the microphone only when you choose to record in Studio. It accesses files you select for import and photos you select as artwork. These permissions are used to complete the action you requested.

Purchases

Optional developer-support purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Plane and Ladybird does not receive your payment-card details. Apple may process purchase information under its own privacy policy.
