Move part of a task, not all of it

Split any stopped, unuploaded task by an exact duration and send that portion to another date. Rotelle preserves both the displayed total and the underlying raw session time across the two entries.

Every total follows the split

Daily summaries, reports, goals, statistics, exports, and later Jira worklogs all see the resulting entries on their proper dates instead of leaving hidden time behind.

Scissors worthy of a trophy

Edward Scissorhands rewards 100 splits, while the legendary Inevitable achievement waits at 1,000—with dedicated illustrated Rotti medals for both milestones.

Ten new ways to take a break

Pomodoro and eye-rest panels now rotate through five dedicated Rotti scenes each, from telescopes and pirate seas to tomato fields, yoga, and a well-earned beach day.

Today stays today

When midnight passes, the tracker advances automatically if you were viewing today, while a deliberately selected historical date remains exactly where you left it.

Uploaded worklogs stay trustworthy

Time adjustments, session edits, and ordinary task editing can no longer change the timing history of a Jira worklog that has already been uploaded.

Clearer review and menu-bar context

Daily-review totals now respect reviewed corrections, and refined labels, loading controls, split cards, and a dynamically sized ticket tooltip make important context easier to read.

A Pomodoro cycle learned from your work

After five eligible sessions, Natural work rhythm estimates your typical focus length from the median of up to 30 recent sessions. Apply that exact duration to Pomodoro with one click instead of forcing your work into a generic preset.

Find every day of a task

Press Command-F in the tracker to search by Jira key, task title, or note. Rotelle groups each task's history by day, shows its total time, and opens any result directly in the tracker.

Quick activities with a face

Give Quick activities their own icons and recognize them instantly in settings, tracker suggestions, and the menu bar. Assign ten icons to unlock the new Icon Painter achievement.

Break now—or own the skip

Start a Pomodoro or eye-rest break directly from its status card. Skipped breaks are tracked honestly, with Homer and Cipollino waiting after 100 skipped eye-rest or Pomodoro breaks.

Sleep no longer eats the workday

Rotelle pauses active timers before macOS sleeps, turns off the display, or locks the session, resumes the same tasks afterward, and asks whether the unavailable interval counted as work. Parallel timers remain intact.

More trustworthy totals and achievements

Overlapping parallel sessions count once in daily actual totals, while each task keeps its full Jira worklog duration. Corrected or sleep-spanning raw sessions can no longer unlock uninterrupted-work achievements by mistake.

A calmer daily workspace

Duration entry accepts more natural shorthand, long labels wrap cleanly, suggestion hover states are steadier, add-and-start is easier to reach, and an illustrated Rotti appears when the current sprint is empty.

Start from the current sprint

Rotelle now shows Jira issues assigned to you in an active sprint while you create or switch tasks. Completed and closed work stays out of the list, and color-coded statuses sit beside each issue key.

Worklogs belong to the selected day

Copied, moved, older, and previously uploaded tasks now create or resume the correct entry for their assigned Rotelle day instead of using a timer session's real calendar date.

Failures stay visible and retryable

When Jira rejects a worklog, the task keeps a red failure indicator with the returned error so the problem is visible and the upload can be retried.

Faster menu-bar control

Right-click the menu-bar widget to show or hide its controls and choose what opens from the ticket name. Only the dedicated button starts or stops a timer; clicking free space opens the full panel.

Clean Quick activity conversion

Editing a Quick activity into a normal Jira ticket removes the old Quick title and orange styling. Switching to another Quick activity adopts the new rule instead.

Disconnect Jira safely

Jira settings now include an explicit Disconnect action that removes unused Keychain credentials and unassigns linked projects without deleting time history or existing worklogs.

A more human start to the day

Every weekday can begin with an illustrated Rotti scene and a rotating practical tip. The panel can be disabled in General settings, and four new achievements reward seeing every opening and closing scene or tracking a full weekend hour.

Clearer loading and statistics

Current-sprint loading now has an animated Rotti scene, hourly statistics explain peak durations more clearly, and ticket lists, status colors, and hover feedback have been refined throughout the app.

A useful first-run setup, smarter menu-bar ticket access, refreshed Jira details, and a proper illustrated end-of-day review.

Set up Rotelle before the first timer

The old slideshow is gone. Choose daily and weekly goals, rounding, Pomodoro and eye-rest reminders, and what a click on the menu-bar ticket should open.

Close the day with Rotti

A configurable end-of-day review compares actual and rounded time, summarizes tasks, breaks, eye rests, and overtime, lets you adjust Jira worklogs, and closes the day after upload. Five Rotti scenes rotate between reviews.

The right tickets, one click away

Choose whether clicking the current menu-bar ticket opens recent tickets, Quick activities, pinned tickets, or the full tracker panel.

Jira edits stay current

Changing a task’s Jira issue or converting a Quick activity now refreshes its title, description, project color, and Quick styling instead of leaving stale details behind.

Break reminders start fresh

Pomodoro and eye-rest schedules reset after a real work pause, so yesterday’s progress cannot trigger a reminder a few minutes into today’s session.

Small controls, clearer behavior

Active switches are visibly blue, menu-bar task tooltips appear immediately, Round day keeps its precision private, and the secret preview achievement now covers every current reminder panel.

Playful and secret achievements

Seventeen new activity achievements join the collection, including seven secrets that reveal their name, condition, and circular Rotti medal only after you earn them. Full-size artwork now has previous and next navigation.

Richer local statistics

Statistics now includes completed Pomodoros, cumulative eye-rest distance, aligned hourly and weekday activity maps, and a completed-day average that excludes today and future entries. Quick activities no longer dominate task rankings.

Breaks that count when you take them

Only uninterrupted eye-rest breaks count toward your distance and achievements. The idle prompt is now a full Rotti panel with five rotating scenes, and the default idle interval is 10 minutes.

Forgotten worklog reminders

Every two hours, Rotelle can spot Jira worklogs left behind on previous days and take you directly to review them before upload.

A more illustrated Rotelle

Settings and every part of the Productivity Library now feature new Rotti artwork, larger layouts, consistent preview controls, and full-size viewing for Settings illustrations and earned achievement medals.

Polish and reliability

Remove stale discovered Jira projects, use clearer shortcut and goal controls, distinguish overtime days more easily, and let Sparkle close and relaunch Rotelle correctly even when a panel is open.

Private iCloud sync, faster Jira navigation, direct feedback, and a more responsive daily workspace.

Private iCloud sync

Optionally sync time entries, sessions, settings, ticket history, achievements, and closed periods between Macs through your private CloudKit database. Jira credentials remain in each Mac's Keychain.

Feedback without an email app

Send feedback and feature requests directly to Plane & Ladybird from Settings. Rotelle includes only your message, its category, and app and macOS versions.

Faster task navigation

Type the numeric part of a Jira issue to highlight matching tasks, and order each day by newest, oldest, or title.

Five-minute keyboard adjustments

Press + or − while the tracker is active to adjust the current task by five minutes without interrupting text editing or reducing time below zero.

A clearer running day

The day with a running timer now pulses in week navigation. The animation is enabled by default and can be disabled in General settings.

Jira and Settings polish

Copy Jira keys and links from task menus, share achievement artwork, and enjoy clearer shortcut labels, square Rotti artwork, and tighter Settings layouts.

Anonymous product statistics

Rotelle can now count downloads, launches, active days, timer starts, Jira connections, and worklog uploads without sending task names, Jira content, tracked durations, account details, or persistent device identifiers.

Your choice

Anonymous statistics can be disabled at any time in General settings. The preference is stored locally on your Mac.

Documented privacy

The app now includes an Apple privacy manifest, and the Rotelle privacy policy explains exactly what is and is not counted.

JSON backup and restore now covers time records, settings, ticket history, pinned tickets, and achievements while leaving Keychain secrets out of the file.
