Dispensa Privacy Policy

1. What Dispensa Stores
Dispensa stores the inventory information you add, including storage places, boxes, item titles, descriptions, photos, QR codes, groups, and notes. This information is stored on your device and, when you enable shared household features, in your iCloud account through Apple CloudKit.
2. iCloud Shared Households
If you invite family members to a shared household, inventory data is shared through Apple iCloud and CloudKit with people you invite. Apple provides and manages the iCloud sharing infrastructure. We do not sell this data and do not use it for advertising.
3. Photos and AI Recognition
When you choose AI recognition, Dispensa sends the selected image to our backend service so it can request item suggestions from OpenAI. AI recognition is optional. Photos are sent only when you start recognition, not automatically.
4. Purchases and Pro Access
Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple. We may send purchase transaction information to our backend to verify Pro access and recognition credits. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
5. Backups, Export, and Sharing
Dispensa lets you export and share database backup files. You control where those files are saved or sent. Anyone with access to an exported file may be able to read the inventory data inside it.
6. Service Providers
We use service providers needed to operate Dispensa, including Apple services for iCloud and purchases, Cloudflare for backend hosting, and OpenAI for optional AI recognition.
7. Data Use
We use data only to provide app functionality, operate Pro features, verify purchases, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal data.
